Marijuana policy forum at Yale, Tuesday, April 25 at 8 p.m.
Please reach out to your lawmakers in support of legalization in Connecticut!
Thanks to supporters like you, our growing coalition to regulate marijuana now includes 14 organizations and 17 individual community leaders. One of those organizations is Yale Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP), and tomorrow night, they’ll be hosting a public forum on marijuana legalization. Can you make it?
The forum will start at 8 p.m. tomorrow evening — Tuesday, April 25. Speakers will include Rep. Juan Candelaria (D), Rep. Melissa Ziobron (R), Minority Cannabis Business Association’s Jason Ortiz, and me, Sam Tracy. The event is open to the public and will be held in Linsly-Chittenden Hall at 63 High Street, Room 102, at Yale University.
Each speaker will explain why they support regulating marijuana like alcohol, but the event will be focused on questions from the audience. If you want to learn more about legalization and have some of your questions answered, please attend! You can RSVP on Facebook for more details.
Whether or not you can make it to tomorrow’s forum, please keep calling your legislators! Since marijuana regulation will be included in the Legislature’s budget talks, we need to make sure there is enough support when it is brought up. You can use ouronline tool to see a prepared script, and it will even handle the dialing for you.
Please spread the word, and don’t forget to like us on Facebook and follow us onTwitter.
Keep on fighting!
